Worship For February 5th

Well, we have a great Sunday in store for today, and not just because it is “Super” Sunday. It will be great because we will be coming together as a body to lift up the name of our Savior. He is more than worthy to be worshiped and have His name lifted high. Begin now to prepare yourself to worship. Worship God by yourself and then be praying that we will see God in a powerful way as we come together. God loves to be praised by His people and He delights in our praises.

We also have the privilege of hearing from our student pastor candidate. Even though we have not officially released his name, God knows how He is working in both our life and the life of the candidate. Be praying that God will use him in a mighty way to challenge us and to make His will clear. Also, don’t forget to lift up the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship.

Here are the songs that we will be using in worship:

Victory In Jesus

O This God

Shine

If You Know You’re Loved

Glory To God Forever

Amazed (Album Version)

Your Great Name

Worship For January 29th

Today, we finish our series about the obstacles that keep us from doing what God wants us to do. We hope that you have been encouraged and challenged to listen to what God is saying to you. Take those things that are in your path or holding you back and put them aside. God wants you to succeed in each one of those areas and will give you the strength that you need. Don’t let any of those enemies that we have talked about keep you from achieving the best God wants for each of you and for BBC.

Please begin now to prepare for worship now. Be expecting God to show Himself in a powerful way as we come together to worship Him. Please lift up Dean, the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship.

Here are the songs that we will be using in worship:

Salvation Is Here (Live)

O This God

Doxology

How He Loves

This Is the Gift of God

Worship For January 22nd

It’s another great day to be at BBC. Come ready to worship. God will be here and ready to be lifted up and praised. Begin now by preparing for worship. Everyday the week before think about some aspect of God. Maybe He has revealed Himself to you as holy. Think about what it means that God is holy and is set apart. He is NOT like us. He is perfect and morally pure. He alone is completely holy. Let that aspect of God lead you into amazement of who He is and what He gives up by loving us and giving us salvation. He is holy. We are not(on our own). We should not even be in His presence, yet because of the salvation that Jesus bought us at the cross, we can have a relationship with the Holy God.

Please be in prayer for Dean, the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship. Here are the songs that we will be using in worship:

Let God Arise (See The Morning Album Version)

Holy

Our God Saves

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Nothing But The Blood

O This God

Worship For January 15th

Well, we are squarely in the middle of 2012. This is a great time to be thinking about and praying about how we can make ourselves available to God this year. God has great plans for BBC and He wants to use each of us to accomplish those goals. Please be searching what God is saying to you and what He is moving you to do through our church and through your everyday life with the people that you come in contact with.

Please be praying about this Sunday. God wants to be praised by His people. Not because He needs it, but because He wants us to have more of Him. Be amazed, even today, at who God is and what He has given us. Please lift up Dean, the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship.

Here are the songs that we will be using:

Set Free

Joyful

Glory To God Forever

Draw Me Close

Worship For January 8th

We are solidly back into the new year now and life is returning to its “normal” pace, whatever that may be for you. Our prayer is that you will carry the spirit of the Christmas season into the new year, even though it probably seems like a long time ago now. The Truth of the miracle of the Incarnation of God is not only for a particular time of year. It remains the greatest of miracles and the Truth that changed God’s relationship to humanity.

Please continue to be in prayer for BBC, that we will see God, know His will for our individual lives and the church, as follow after Him, regardless of what might seem to be in the way. Please lift up the worship team, the technical team and Dean as they lead in worship. Here are the songs that we will be using:

Joyful(The One Who Saves)

How Great Thou Art

Always

Forever Reign

Stronger

Worship For January 1st

Well, another year has gone by and we at the beginning of 2012. It looks to be a great year for Brookwood and we are praying that God will do mighty things through our church. Please join with each of us as we anticipate God moving through BBC to reach our community.

One of the great things about the New Year is the sense of freshness and a new start. We should be reminded every day that God’s mercies are just like that. We don’t have to wait for a changing of the year or the a certain date on the calendar. Every time that we come to Him in a humble spirit and ask for forgiveness and His mercy, He is quick to grant it. Be amazed by the love of our God.

Please lift up Dean, the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship. Here are the songs that we will be using in worship:

Everlasting God

Your Grace Is Enough

Our God

God With Us

Revelation Song

Worship For December 25th

Merry Christmas. Today is one of those rare days that occurs once every 6 years where Christmas falls on a Sunday. I know that it may seem crazy (especially to those of you that have families with young kids at home), but what a great way to spend Christmas morning. We have just had a great night last night celebrating the excitement that comes from the birth of our Savior and now we come together again and worship our King.

Today, as Dean mentioned over the last two Sundays, we are doing something a little different. Since there are many people that are working today (in areas that simply cannot shut down on holidays), we are challenging Brookwood to reach out to them and share the love of God this Christmas morning. We want every family to stop somewhere on their way to the 11:00 service and give someone, that otherwise cannot be in church, a gift and let them know that God loves them.

We would like to have everyone take a picture with them and the person and email it to BBC where we can show it during our service. Exact details are still in the planning stages, but we will get them put up on this blog, through the website and other methods. Please check back, if you read this before the information gets posted.

We normally put the song selection in this blog, but know that we will sing some carols this morning. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with our BBC family.

Worship For December 18th

It’s another great Sunday to be at Brookwood. We are a week away from Christmas and we are fully in the swing of the season. Come prepared worship to God and be reminded of the amazing gift that was given to us that first Christmas. It is a mind-boggling thing to think that God became man. Up until that point, when God spoke, his power and majesty would literally cause mountains to crumble and overwhelm men such that they would become like they were dead.

By coming as a little baby, God was able to relate to us in a way that was totally new. Now, we could see God in a way that did not frighten us, but causes us to be drawn to him. He came in the most lowly manner possible. Now God could speak such that fear was not the primary result. Praise God for His great plan in bringing us salvation.

Please begin no to pray that God will make Himself known to us during worship. Please lift up Dean, the worship team and the technical team as they lead in worship. Here are the songs that we will be using in worship:

Joy To The World(Unspeakable Joy)

Majestic

My Soul Magnifies The Lord

O Come All Ye Faithful

Be The Centre

Worship For December 11th

Well, we are fully in the Christmas season. We have had our Christmas Festival and are looking forward to the Children sharing their musical “Arrest These Merry Gentlemen” tonight. In fact, the kids will be sharing with us in the morning worship and getting ready for their presentation. We will using an acoustic set this morning to lead worship. This is always a fun time and BBC enjoys worshiping God in this (for us) different instrumentation.

As you are going through the Christmas season, please make a specific point to spend some time thinking about why we celebrate Christmas. Every year we say the same thing, but we can never lose sight of the immensity of what it means that God, the all-powerful Creator of the universe, set His divinity aside for a time and came to earth as the most defenseless and unassuming of creatures, a human baby. Pondering on that should help focus on how powerful the meaning of Christmas is. He did all of that out of His great love for each one of us and we should be overwhelmed by this amazing love.

Please be in prayer for the service that we will see God and know His presence. Please lift up the kids choir, Dean, the worship team, student choir and the technical team as they lead in worship.

Here are the songs that we be using on Sunday:

Angels We Have Heard On High

O Praise Him (All This For A King) (Sacred Revolution Album Version)

Mighty To Save (Live)

How Great Is Our God

You Are (Album Version)

My Soul Magnifies The Lord

Worship for December 4th

Well, Christmas time is finally here. At least at BBC. At most stores, it’s been here since October. Hopefully, this weekend, you have been part of our Christmas festival as we invited our community to join us to kick off Christmas.

If you are reading this before the Christmas Festival, please pray for that event. This is great chance for us to tell people what Christmas is truly about and let them see the love of God. Then, plan to be a part of the event, making sure that you are helping us to reach out to the people that live around us.

For those of you that will be working during the festival, the worship team will be reprising our presentation so that you can have a chance to worship with us. We will present it during the Sunday morning worship. Please pray that God will use this time in a powerful way to allow us to worship Him for all that He did for us in sending His Son to earth.

Here are the songs that we will use (outside of the presentation songs):

Joy To The World (Unspeakable Joy)

Amazed (Album Version)
